Shagun Jewels Introduces Lightweight Jewellery for the Festive Season
Hyderabad, October 6, 2008: Come Dussehra and Diwali, a new range of slinky light-weight jewellery is being launched by 'Shagun Jewels', the retail outlet of Asian Star, one of India's foremost diamantaires.
Shagun Jewels continues the trend of presenting exquisite diamond jewellery that is in sync with present day trends, where bling is no longer the watchword. The era of big, heavy jewellery sets is waning, thanks to record gold prices. Consumers are now seeking affordable jewellery that doesn't cost the earth. Sophisticated simplicity is the buzzword. It's about smart fashion and this casual-chic style is probably a reflection of both fashion and economics.
"Our designers have created more open-work jewellery, so that the new range is lighter and more delicate than ever before. The new range offers superbly crafted pieces, which are perfect for modern style trends," said Mr. Priyanshu Shah, Executive Director of Asian Star.
There are over 200 designs to choose from, priced between Rs 1,25,000 - 2,50,000 for a set. The gold weight range varies from 50 to 75 gms of gold per set, vis-à-vis 100 -125 gms used previously. Ethnic jewellery and hollowed-out trendy accessories are also on display.
'Shagun Jewels' believes in the supremacy of innovation and contemporary designs, but at the same time, conforms to local cultural consciousness. High on quality, the gold used is BIS hallmark certified and the diamonds used are of the best cut and clarity.
