The Solitaire Design Awards 2011 organised by the IIJS was themed around an appealing title "Flower Power". The contest received 85 entries from Forty-four different companies, of which 61 were in the Formal Wear Category and 24 were in the Daily Wear category. The designs were judged by an eminent panel of famous designers - Gautam Banerjee, Rupali Gupta & Pallavi Dudeja Foley.

A' Star Jewellery bagged the First Prize in the Formal Wear category amidst strong competition from 18 finalists. The winning jewellery piece is a designer Hair Ornament in Silver, depicting the beauty of the flowers which are on the verge of extinction. This innovative design was aesthetically rendered through the use of silver metal, precious gemstones and alternate material such as medium density fibre, feathers etc.
